Defending Charges and Lawsuits Filed Against Clients
Our attorneys represent clients during every stage of a charge or claim brought by employees. Many employment-related charges must first be filed with state or federal agencies such as the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Illinois Department of Employment Security, the Illinois Department of Labor, the United States Department of Labor, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Our attorneys have successfully defended clients in all aspects of charges and claims filed before these various administrative agencies.
Quinn Johnston also vigorously defends its clients in state and federal courts. Our attorneys have successfully defended employers against employee claims involving an array of legal employment issues, including sexual harassment, retaliatory discharge, wrongful discharge, and race, age, gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, national origin, religious, and disability discrimination. We work closely with our clients to develop cost-efficient litigation strategies and reasonable settlement solutions. We have experience resolving cases using a variety of methods that best fits the client’s preferences and needs, including settlement negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and trial litigation.
