Attorney Profile
As Matthew Warner grew up in Metamora, family and friends told him he had the qualities of a great attorney – he was driven and competitive. As a young man he aimed to be a police officer, but ultimately he shared his family’s observations and pursued his law degree from DePaul University College of Law.
Upon graduation, Matt returned home to the Peoria area and worked as a State’s Attorney for Peoria County. He embraced the challenge of being a prosecutor and quickly moved through increasingly demanding opportunities. After trying more than 100 misdemeanor and felony cases, Matt was ready to broaden his experiences and take on new challenges.
Matt joined Quinn Johnston in 2018. Today he works with clients to leverage his prosecution experience to support their defense strategies in all areas of litigation with a focus on civil rights and governmental defense.
Matt is a firearm enthusiast and outdoorsman. He lives with his wife and young children in Metamora.
